This category of telehandler can be used for light excavation and backfilling as well as lifting, but is not suited for the kind of digging a skidloader with a tooth bucket can do, nor can it lift what our Skytraks can lift.
This 63 HP diesel compact material telehandler has a maximum height reach of 18' and weighs 9,990 lbs. It can raise up to 5,500 lbs and up to 2,600 lbs at maximum height. . These Genie or Terex comes with standard pallet forks and there is an optional bucket available. Also known as a Pettibone, Lull, Telehandler, JCB, Gradall, Petebone, petty bone or pettybone or lull tell handler or all terrain skytrack or petibone material handling or construction tellehandler or off road telescopic mini lull telehanler or pettebon or small pettebone or small Telahandler or mini Tellahandler or peddybone or 5k Mini Pettibone or a forklift crane or all terrain forklift or small material handler or small rough terrain forklift.
What are the lifting capacity limits of this compact telehandler?
+
The machine has a maximum lift capacity of 5,500 lbs, but this capacity decreases as the boom extends. At its maximum lift height of 18 feet, the capacity is reduced to 4,400lbs. Always consult the load chart inside the cab before attempting to lift heavy loads at a distance.
What type of fuel does this telehandler use, and what is the refueling policy?
+
This telehandler is powered by a 63 HP diesel engine. It will leave our yard with a full tank of diesel. Upon return, Gap Power will refill the tank and bill you for the fuel used at our standard pump rate (whatever the local Wawa is charging), so you do not need to worry about refilling it yourself before returning.
What attachments and fork options are available with this rental?
+
The unit comes standard with a 4-foot wide carriage and pallet forks, with options for 4', 5', or 6' fork lengths, as well as 10' extensions. An optional bucket is also available for light material handling and backfilling. Please specify your fork length and attachment needs when booking your rental.
Can this telehandler be used on rough terrain, and what type of tires does it have?
+
Yes, this is an all-terrain, 4-wheel drive machine designed for rough, unpaved construction sites. It features foam-filled tires, which eliminate the risk of flat tires from nails, screws, or sharp debris on active jobsites. However, because of its 11,000 lb weight, it can still damage soft turf or wet lawns, so ground protection mats should be used if turf damage is a concern.
Can I use this telehandler with a bucket to excavate or dig trenches?
+
While an optional bucket is available for light excavation, scooping loose dirt, and backfilling, this machine is not designed for heavy digging. It lacks the breakout force of a skid steer loader and cannot dig into compacted soil or clay, especially without a tooth bucket. Using it for aggressive digging can damage the boom structure and hydraulic components.
When should I choose this compact telehandler instead of a larger Skytrak telehandler?
+
This compact telehandler is ideal when you need to lift and place materials in tight spaces where larger machines won't fit, thanks to its low 6'4" height and 6' width. It is commonly used for: unloading lumber packages on residential jobsites; lifting shingles to a low roof edge; placing HVAC units on single-story buildings; moving palletized masonry over rough terrain; and light backfilling with the optional bucket. Choose a larger Skytrak if you need to reach higher than 18 feet or lift over 5,500 lbs.
