This is commonly used for: placing concrete into tall wall forms or columns; pouring elevated mezzanine slabs; filling core-fill concrete block cells; placing footings behind deep excavations; and delivering concrete over fences or obstacles where ready-mix chutes cannot reach. If you have flat, open site access, concrete buggies or direct mixer chuting are faster, while large continuous slab pours generally warrant a boom pump.

While the hopper weighs 500 lbs empty, a full cubic yard of standard concrete weighs roughly 4,000 lbs, bringing the total working load to approximately 4,500 lbs. Always check your telehandler or crane load chart to ensure it can safely handle at least 4,500 to 5,000 lbs at your planned boom extension and reach height.

The hopper interior, exterior frame, and discharge gate assembly must be washed down thoroughly with water immediately after pouring before the concrete sets. Returning the bucket with dried, hardened concrete inside the cone or around the gate linkage creates operational failure and incurs substantial cleaning fees.
