This attachment is commonly used for: setting roof trusses without machine boom repositioning; placing HVAC equipment on elevated decks; reaching through framed window openings; hanging heavy laminated timbers; lifting masonry units over scaffolding. It shines where precise vertical placement is needed, because the hydraulic winch lowers the load straight down without the horizontal sweep caused by booming down a telehandler. If you only need to carry bundled materials on flat ground or elevate standard pallets, standard pallet forks are simpler and faster.

The winch is rated for a maximum capacity of 4,000 lbs and comes spooled with 65 feet of 7/16-inch cable. Remember that your actual lifting limit is governed by whichever is lower: this 4,000 lb rating or your telehandler's load chart at your specific boom extension, angle, and ground stability.

This attachment features a quick-coupler style mount engineered to fit JLG and SkyTrak telehandlers. Confirm your specific telehandler's carriage interface and hydraulic auxiliary port compatibility with our rental team before booking.

Lowering a load by extending or retracting a telehandler's main boom introduces horizontal travel and jerky movement, which can misalign trusses or endanger crew members holding tag lines. The hydraulic winch provides true vertical load handling, keeping the machine parked and the boom stationary while lowering the truss precisely into position.

Always inspect the 7/16-inch wire cable, hook, and safety latch for kinks or wear prior to each shift. Use rated slings or truss spreaders appropriate for the load geometry, and ensure ground crew members use tag lines rather than hands to control swinging loads. Never exceed the 4,000 lb winch limit.
