FAQ

When should I rent this 90-inch telehandler work platform over a boom lift or scaffolding?

This is commonly used for: elevated pole barn framing; installing siding or metal wall panels; hanging high exterior lighting; painting upper commercial facades; setting roof trusses with workers aloft. It shines when you already have a compatible telehandler on site and need an elevated, rigid workspace for workers and materials without renting a separate self-propelled boom lift. However, if you need continuous driving from the platform or lack a certified telehandler operator dedicated on the ground, a dedicated self-propelled boom or scissor lift is the better choice.

What are the dimensions and weight capacity of this work platform?

The platform measures 90 inches wide (7 feet 6 inches) by 48 inches deep (4 feet) and features a solid bottom with no fold-out wings. It has a rated load capacity of 1,000 lbs, which covers the combined weight of personnel, tools, and construction materials.

How does the platform mount to the telehandler or forklift?

This unit is designed to slide directly over the machine's existing pallet forks. Before elevating personnel, you must secure the platform to the fork carriage using safety locking pins or chains to ensure it cannot slide off during boom operation.

Can this platform be used on any forklift or telehandler?

It is specifically sized for mini telehandlers and standard rough-terrain forklifts that have sufficient tine length, spacing, and carriage capacity. Always verify that your machine manufacturer approves lifting personnel on fork-mounted platforms and that the host machine's load chart supports 1,000 lbs plus the basket tare weight at your required reach.

How should I transport the 90-inch work platform to my jobsite?

At 7 feet 6 inches wide and 4 feet deep, this platform fits across standard 83-inch or wider flatbed equipment trailers or into full-width truck beds with proper overhang management. Gap Power offers delivery to your jobsfite if needed, however you will need a forklift, telehandler, or tractor loader with forks at pickup and delivery to load and unload it safely.
