Stihl Cutquik cut-off saws are the right choice for your next construction job. Professionals trust Stihl for quality, dependability and performance. When the cutting gets tough, that's when the pros turn to Stihl. Stihl Cutquik cut-off machines power right through concrete, metal, asphalt, masonry, stone, or ductile iron.
Sometimes referred to as 14 in chop saw, wet saw, wet concrete saw, pavement saw, cut off saw, demo saw, demolition saw, block saw, stone cutter, cutoff saw, or concrete cutter.
When should I choose this 12" gas-powered cut-off saw instead of a larger walk-behind pavement saw?
+
This handheld saw is best for quick, versatile cuts where portability and maneuverability are key. It is commonly used for: slicing through metal pipes or rebar; trimming masonry blocks or paving stones; cutting asphalt patches; and working in tight spaces where walk-behind saws cannot fit. For long, straight, deep cuts in flat concrete slabs, a walk-behind pavement saw is a better choice.
What is the maximum cutting depth of this 12" STIHL cut-off saw?
+
This saw (Model TS410) provides a maximum cutting depth of 3-3/4 to 4 inches. If your project requires deeper cuts, such as thick foundation walls or deep trenching, you will need a larger 14-inch saw, 16-inch saw, or a walk-behind floor saw.
Does the cut-off saw rental include a blade, or do I need to rent one separately?
+
The base saw rental does not include a blade. You can rent a specialized 12-inch diamond blade for concrete or asphalt, or purchase abrasive wheels for metal cutting directly from Gap Power depending on your project needs.
What type of fuel does this STIHL TS410 saw use, and do I need to bring my own gas?
+
This is a 2-cycle gas engine that requires a specific gas/oil mix. Gap Power includes a 2-gallon gas can with the correct pre-mixed fuel at no extra charge, provided the can is returned with the tool. Do not use regular unleaded gasoline without the proper 2-cycle oil mix, as this will ruin the engine.
Can I use this gas-powered cut-off saw to cut concrete indoors?
+
No, gas-powered saws produce dangerous carbon monoxide emissions and must only be used outdoors or in highly ventilated open-air environments. For indoor concrete cutting, ask about our electric or battery-powered saw options to ensure jobsite safety.
What safety equipment and dust control measures should I use with this saw?
+
Always wear eye protection, hearing protection, heavy-duty gloves, and a dust mask or respirator. To control hazardous silica dust when cutting concrete or masonry, connect a pressurized water source to the saw's integrated wet-cutting dust suppression system.
How heavy is the saw, and how should I transport it?
+
Weighing only 20.5 lbs, this compact saw is highly portable and can easily be transported in the trunk or back seat of any standard passenger vehicle. Ensure the saw is secured upright to prevent fuel spills during transport.
