This item includes one pump jack mechanism equipped with a workbench bracket. A functional staging system requires at least two pump jacks, two compatible poles (wood or aluminum), top and intermediate pole braces anchored to the building, a properly rated walk plank, and compliant guardrails or personal fall arrest equipment.

Workers use an integrated foot pedal to pump the jack mechanism smoothly upward along the pole, allowing continuous work as siding courses are completed. To lower the stage, a spring-loaded hand crank or release mechanism is operated while controlling the descent. Both ends of the staging should be adjusted evenly to keep the walk plank level.

Pump jack systems are rated for light-duty staging, intended to support workers, hand tools, and a working supply of lightweight materials like siding panels. Never stack heavy pallets of siding, roofing shingles, or masonry on the staging, and always verify that your plank span and load ratings are not exceeded.
