FAQ

When should I rent an 18 ft telescoping wand instead of using a ladder or lift?

This is commonly used for: washing second-story vinyl siding; rinsing soffits and fascia boards; blasting debris out of elevated gutters; cleaning high exterior window trim. It allows you to clean up to 18 to 24 feet high safely from the ground without moving ladders. However, if you need close-up hand-scrubbing, paint scraping, or need to work directly above flat roofs with tight clearances, scaffolding or a boom lift is a better alternative.

Can I use this telescoping wand while standing on a ladder?

No, never operate a telescoping wand from a ladder, stepladder, or elevated scaffold. High water pressure generates significant kickback leverage at full extension that can easily knock you off balance. Always keep both feet firmly planted on solid ground, and remain at least 10 feet clear of all overhead power lines.

What pressure washer and hose connections does this wand require?

The telescoping wand attaches directly to standard 3/8-inch quick-connect pressure washer hoses and accepts standard 1/4-inch quick-connect spray tips at the nozzle end. It is rated for commercial and residential gas pressure washers up to 4,000 PSI, though a machine with at least 2.5 to 4.0 GPM is recommended for effective long-range rinsing.

How long is the wand when retracted, and will it fit in my vehicle?

When fully collapsed, the wand measures approximately 6 to 7 feet long. It easily fits into an 8-foot pickup truck bed, through the rear hatch of an SUV with folded seats, or secured to vehicle roof racks.
