The US Core EZ System is a new way of coring. Instead of a standard base to the side of the core bit, The Core EZ uses an anchor and shaft INSIDE the core bit for fast, easy placement and no anchor holes outside the core that is being removed.
Drilling horizontally is simple with this lightweight system. It is especially useful when drilling overhead or at heights on a wall.

FAQ
When should I choose the EZ Core Center Mount system over a traditional rig-mounted core drill?+
This system is ideal when you want to avoid drilling external anchor holes into finished walls or floors, as it anchors directly inside the path of the core being removed. It is commonly used for: drilling horizontal holes through foundation walls; overhead coring in tight commercial spaces; boring clean holes for plumbing or HVAC lines; and working on scaffolding where a heavy traditional rig is too bulky or it is difficult to keep a hand held core drill straight to avoid binding. If you cannot drill an anchor hole outside the hole being drilled or use a vacuum pad on a finished surface, this center-mount system is the best choice.
How does the center-mount anchoring system work, and what accessories do I need?+
The system requires drilling a 3/8 pilot hole in the center of your planned core to secure a 3/8 wedge anchor and shaft. Once the shaft is secured inside the core area, the gear box and core bit slide onto it, guiding the cut perfectly without external braces. We rent compatible core bits in 3", 4", 5", 6", 7", 8", and 10" diameters; please specify your required size when reserving.
What are the electrical power requirements for the EZ Core drill?+
The system runs on standard 120V power but requires a minimum 15-amp dedicated circuit to handle the load under heavy drilling. If you are using an extension cord, use a heavy-duty 10-gauge or 12-gauge cord no longer than 50 feet to prevent voltage drops that can damage the motor.
How is the EZ Core drill transported, and how heavy is the equipment?+
The entire system weighs approximately 65 lbs and comes packed in a convenient, wheeled carrying case. This compact setup easily fits into the trunk of a car or the back of an SUV, making it much easier to transport than traditional, bulky core drill rigs.
Does this core drill require water, and can I drill dry+
This is a wet-cutting diamond core drill that requires a continuous water supply to cool the bit and flush out concrete slurry. You must use a pressurized water tank or a garden hose connection during operation. Ensure all electrical connections are kept dry and elevated, and use a GFCI outlet to prevent electrical hazards.
This unit is not capable of drilling dry. See the micro-percussion hand held core drills (CONCDMP) for dry drilling options.
