Jack stand can raise beam 6.5 inches at a time. 6.5 inches is the maximum stroke of the bottle jack. To raise the beam more than 6.5", Shore the beam then reset post to a different height and raise another 6.5 inches. Use this Tall Hydraulic Jack to raise up sagging floors above basements, in barns, sheds and other remodeling processes. Hydraulic tall jacks are much safer than wooden beams.
