Technical Features
- M2 High Speed Steel construction — provides extended wear resistance and long service life compared to standard carbon steel cutters.
- 2-1/4 in. cutting diameter x 2 in. cutting depth — delivers a precise, full-depth annular cut in a single pass through material up to 2 inches thick.
- 3/4 in. Weldon shank — ensures secure, positive engagement in the arbor and maintains compatibility with Fein Slugger magnetic drills as well as other competitive magnetic drill brands.
- Pilot pin compatibility (Pilot Pin 16004) — the required pilot pin centers the cutter accurately on the workpiece, reducing wander and improving hole location precision.
- Made in USA — manufactured domestically to Slugger quality standards.
Applications
- Aluminum fabrication — optimized for clean, burr-minimized hole cutting in aluminum plate, structural aluminum, and extrusions.
- Non-ferrous metalwork — suitable for use on copper, brass, and other non-ferrous metals where HSS tooling is appropriate.
- Magnetic drill press use — 3/4 in. Weldon shank design is the industry-standard interface for portable magnetic drills, making this cutter broadly compatible across job-site equipment.
- Production and maintenance drilling — annular cutting geometry removes only a narrow ring of material, reducing cutting force and heat buildup versus twist drilling at equivalent diameters.
